Sasha Kai is a writer, ceramicist, and award-winning producer whose work bridges storytelling, technology, and tactile creation.
She most recently led product on Peacock’s 2024 Paris Olympics streaming experience, which earned both an Interactive Emmy and a Webby Award.
In audio, she co-produced Freeform’s first original podcast A Little Forward and was a producer on PushBlack’s acclaimed podcast series Black History Year.
Her original horror feature Black Girl Magic was a finalist in several major screenwriting competitions, including Stage 32’s Search for New Blood and the Filmmatic Horror Awards, and was an Official Selection at the 2024 HorrOrigins Film Festival.
When she’s not shaping digital experiences or crafting narratives, you can find Sasha elbow-deep in clay—creating ceramics that honor beauty, function, and the rituals of everyday life. Her work is grounded in accessibility, intention, and human connection, and rooted in exploring the Black experience through clay.
She currently resides in the Los Angeles Foothills with her husband and their Frenchie, Banksy.
